Dr. Farmbry's Roundtable on the Global Migration Dilemma

SAGA would like to thank students and faculty members who attended Tuesday's Roundtable on the Global Migration Dilemma. Dr. Farmbry's presentation and ensuing conversation focused on legal, institutional and economic polices surrounding the movement of peoples from disasters. Specific to the conversation was the special situation in Malta with its nexus to North Africa, the Middle East and Europe through the Italian gateway. The session also included a focus on human dimensions of global migration starting in the post-WWII environment through to the 21st century.
Participants  discussed ongoing migration issues in the Central Mediterranean and the role of international and local non-governmental organizations in addressing this humanitarian crises.
Special thanks to Dr. Farmbry for his update on the refugee situation and to all those who attended this special event....
